Landon Taylor serves as founder and chairman of Base 11, and co-founder of Legacy First Partners LLC.
As an expert in business innovation and strategic market development, Landon has served as president and CEO for a diverse set of businesses in the real estate, technology and financial services industries including four ventures that he created and led at First American Financial Corporation (NYSE: FAF), an $8 Billion multi-national FORTUNE 500 real estate information services company. His efforts there culminated with an appointment to the Board of Directors of the company’s largest subsidiary, First American Title Insurance Company.
In his role as co-founder, chairman & CEO for Base 11, Landon set and drove the organization’s strategic vision which has resulted in the national expansion of the company’s STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) workforce and entrepreneur accelerator platform solutions. Under his leadership, the company developed a proprietary talent development model that produces vetted pipelines of diverse engineering and computer science talent for a blue-chip list of large cap corporate and federal government clients. He expanded the company’s footprint from one to twelve markets in under three years and launched the country’s first collegiate rocketry league and $1Million Space Challenge competition. Base 11 recently launched the Next Frontier Initiative (NFI) which is on track to accelerate 100,000+ students and early STEM career professionals by 2030.
Over the span of his career as a C-Suite executive, investor, and board member for several successful real estate, financial services, and technology companies, Landon has accumulated a unique and diverse set of skills and experiences that he brings to his work as a strategic advisor, investor, and entrepreneur, including; P&L operations, corporate strategy, and market development.
Landon currently serves on the boards of Base 11, University of California Irvine (UCI) Beall Applied Innovation, and 5x Solutions. His former board service includes First American Title Insurance Company, National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP); Give Children a Choice; West Angeles Ventures; and Operation HOPE.
Landon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. He also successfully completed advanced management and executive persuasion training programs at Stanford University, and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA.
