We all know the importance of cultivating a student’s love of STEM at an early age, but how exactly can we do that? Howard University provides one example. As one of the 24 participating universities in the Verizon Innovative Learning for Minority Males program, they are providing middle-school minority boys with first-hand experience and valuable mentorship in technology, design, and beyond, allowing them to grow and explore their passions for STEM.
